I know this might be a dumb thing to write about but I couldn’t believe it when I saw it! I have a Bible verse at the top of my blog, that is fed in from a site relating to the Bible, and it changes everyday. Today, it was a verse from (and this is a direct quote) “Revelations.” That’s right. They pluralized it! Couldn’t believe it…
“The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place; he made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.” Revelation 1:1-2 (NRSV)
The revelation of Jesus Christ. Plain and simple. Grand and glorious. Jesus is coming back!
I was thinking today about how I really need to make a point of living each day, each hour, each minute as if Jesus was coming back tomorrow. Whenever I hear the song “I Can Only Imagine” my mind thinks about my friends and family who don’t know Jesus, and about the SD who don’t know Jesus and how much I want them to see the Lord in heaven and spend eternity with Him as well. I’m challenged and convicted to be bold in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. And ashamed of the times when I don’t. I pray that God would help me more and more to live for Him and His glory and not to live for myself.
