This morning I went driving for my first time in Thailand. Genevieve, from the language school, kindly took me out to a quiet road with her car and let me practice. There’s a slight possibility that I’ll have to drive when I’m up north over Christmas. I’m still not sure, but my thought was that I’ll have to get used to it at some point, so I may as well start now. It was so weird. Thankfully I can already drive a standard/manual car, but changing gears with my left hand felt strange, as did looking in the rearview mirror to the left of me. The road that I ended up driving on had a ton of pot holes, but was lined with really pretty sunflower fields. So overall it was a good start to driving in Thailand!
