“sook-saak”

There is a word in Thai-yai that describes my house with 5 cats very well: “sook-saak” (falling tone on both of the words). Essentially it means ‘disorderly’ and ‘chaotic’ but I think it sounds so much better to actually say it in Thai-yai than in English. To say that my house has been simply disorderly lately doesn’t quite cut it.

Kennedy, Connick and Corky are just over two months old and will be taken to their new home tomorrow. Bowie will also be fixed tomorrow afternoon. We were so happy to find a home for all three kittens. Our friends, Laan and her husband Nueng, told us they wanted all of them! So these are the last of the pictures of the kittens. They’ve been fun though.

  1. Thanks Helen. I was kind of sad to see them go. But the people at the home they’re now living in love animals so it really is a good place for them to be. Bowie is still trying to search for them around our house though….
