I’m currently looking for a location for my team’s retreat next month and I came across the following description of the amenities at one place:
“…all the rooms share certain standard amenities like air conditioners, televisions, refrigerators and also en suite bathrooms fitted with geysers. The executive rooms also have spacious verandas, fire place and also tea and coffee makers.”
Their wording is strange enough with the shared amenities but the geysers in the bathroom was what threw me. I actually looked up geyser in the dictionary on my computer to see what other meanings there might be and apparently a geyser can actually refer to a “gas-fired water heater through which water flows as it is rapidly heated.” Apparently it’s a British term.
I have a geyser in my bathroom in Sop Soi then. Who knew?!
That’s funny! I was picturing “old Faithful” geyser in our bathroom and almost burst out laughing!!
